A system for monitoring and informing drivers about their queue for customs clearance is currently being implemented at the Zabaikalsk checkpoint on the border with China, according to Rosgranstroy.
Drivers can now obtain an electronic queue ticket at a special terminal located in the customs clearance hall by entering their vehicle's registration plate and the type of cargo being transported.
The queue is displayed on information boards.
The main goal of the system is to create a comfortable border crossing experience for foreign trade participants and ensure orderly flow of traffic through customs control at the checkpoint.
