Belarus and Turkey have reached an agreement on a quota for international road freight transport permits for 2026.
A meeting of the Belarusian-Turkish Joint Commission on International Road Transport was held in Istanbul, according to the Ministry of Transport and Communications of the Republic of Belarus. The Belarusian Ministry of Transport delegation was led by Andrei Gladkiy, Head of the Department of Road and Urban Passenger Transport.
During the meeting, representatives of the transport agencies discussed the introduction of electronic permits and considered the possibility of extending the pilot project, which will allow bilateral and transit international freight transport (Type A) between Belarus and Turkey without the need for permits.
Thus, the agreements reached open new opportunities for expanding Belarusian-Turkish trade relations and contribute to improving logistics chains between the two countries.
