The Ministry of Transport of Belarus has issued a decree according to which trucks and tractors registered in Armenia, Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan are allowed access to the territory of the republic to perform transshipment and transfer operations in specialized places. This was reported by Sputnik Belarus, referring to the legal Internet portal.
Previously, the list of countries whose vehicles were allowed to enter special zones for cargo handling included only Belarus and Russia. The new conditions for heavy trucks from Armenia, Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan will be in effect until the end of this year and will come into force on March 6.
Since April 2022, the entry into the EU countries of tractors registered in Belarus and Russia has been prohibited against the background of the Russian civil defense in Ukraine.
As a retaliatory measure, Belarus has banned vehicles registered in the European Union from entering its territory, but has retained the possibility for them to be intercepted and reloaded in certain places.
At the beginning of 2024, a fee was introduced for entry and stay for the first day in places for reloading and reloading for vehicles from the EU, in the amount of three basic values, including VAT.
