The Russian government has decided to extend the pilot project for labeling certain types of electronic products, according to Alta-Soft. According to Resolution No. 202 of February 28, 2026, the pilot project will run until the end of summer 2026. Amendments have been made to the basic Resolution No. 1993 of November 25, 2023.
As a reminder, the following product categories will be labeled with identification tools as part of the pilot project:
• Rectifiers and electrical converters;
• Equipment for switching and protecting electrical circuits;
• Incandescent lamps and lighting equipment;
• Semiconductor photosensitive devices;
• Car headlights;
• Computers, smartphones, and push-button telephones;
• printed circuit boards, electronic cigarettes, etc.
The resolution entered into force on the day of its signing—February 28, 2026. Extending the experiment gives market participants additional time to fine-tune their business processes before the introduction of mandatory labeling.
