Deputies of the Mazhilis of the Parliament of Kazakhstan have ratified the Agreement on International Road Transport with China. This will increase cargo transportation between the countries and facilitate the transit process to third countries. This is reported by Optimism.kz .
The agreement will increase the volume of road cargo transportation between the two countries, as well as regulate the transportation of goods between Kazakhstan and China, and transit through third countries.
Kazakh vehicles will be allowed to enter the territory of China, including ports in the south-east of the country. Due to this, the costs and time for transshipment of goods in the border areas of both countries will be reduced, which will affect the cost of goods upon import and reduce the costs of Kazakhstani exporters. Similar conditions will apply to Chinese carriers in Kazakhstan.
Also, within the framework of the agreement, an electronic system for issuing permits for road transport will be introduced in order to avoid additional costs for paper forms and reduce the human factor in their distribution and control.
