The Cabinet of Ministers has made significant adjustments to the procedure for the passage of vehicles with indivisible cargo and special vehicles on public roads, BAMAP reports.
Key innovations:
➭ Reduced approval time: Interdepartmental approval of special permits is now completed within three hours through the Tunduk system.
➭ Electronic border clearance: At the EAEU external border checkpoints in Kyrgyzstan, vehicles will be weighed and measured by customs authorities, with the results transmitted electronically for permit issuance.
➭ Updated list of documents: To obtain a special permit, copies of a driver's license, registration certificate, vehicle inspection document (in the state language for foreign carriers), and a photo of the vehicle are required.
➭ Mandatory approval for excess height: If a vehicle with cargo is over 5 meters above the road, route approval is required from energy and telecommunications services.
These changes are aimed at increasing the efficiency and transparency of transportation, reducing bureaucratic procedures, and improving the business environment in the logistics sector.
