Minister of Road and Transport Development of Mongolia Byambatsogt Sandag and Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany to Mongolia Helmut Kulitz agreed to sign an "Intergovernmental Agreement on International Road Freight Transport" by January 2024.
The Minister and the ambassador discussed the possibility of direct flights to Frankfurt, Munich and Berlin without any restrictions and with multiple frequencies, centralasia.media reports.
They stressed the high economic importance of expanding trade, tourism and transport links through the conclusion of agreements on road and air transport.
Mongolia has a comprehensive partnership with Germany, but the bilateral trade turnover is only 202.2 million US dollars.
