Alexander Turchin signed a Council of Ministers resolution updating the regulations for the movement of heavy and oversized vehicles in the Republic of Belarus, according to the Government of Belarus Telegram channel.
The document has been brought into line with the EAEU Agreement on Permissible Weights, Axle Loads, and Dimensions.
What will change for carriers:
• Speed limit increased to 70 km/h: The permitted speed for heavy and oversized vehicles (TKTS) has been increased when escorted (for cases that do not impact traffic safety).
• Removal of dimensional restrictions: Limits on the width, length, and total weight of cargo have been eliminated when escorted by a cover vehicle and an escort vehicle.
The resolution comes into force one month after its official publication.
