The Main State Expertise Authority has issued a positive opinion on the reconstruction of the Tagirkent-Kazmalyar automobile checkpoint in Dagestan on the border with Azerbaijan. Rosgranstroy plans to begin the main construction and installation work soon. The environmental assessment report is also awaited.
After the reconstruction, the checkpoint's throughput capacity will increase from 600 to 2,360 vehicles per day, and the number of lanes will increase from 8 to 20.
As part of the national project "Efficient Transport System," 99 buildings and structures will be constructed, two portal inspection complexes, and a weight and dimension control system for trucks will be installed.
An integrated checkpoint system is also undergoing trial operation at the checkpoint. It is designed to automate the collection and transmission of data during inspection procedures. Its implementation will reduce the inspection time for trucks to 10 minutes.
