For Russian companies and individual entrepreneurs, the exemptions for the import of goods from the countries of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) have been extended. According to the Decree of the President of the Russian Federation dated 04/20/2026 No. 261, a special procedure for customs regulation will be in effect until May 31, 2026, Alta Soft writes.
Now legal entities and sole proprietors have the right to declare goods from the EAEU, even if at the time of import there are no documents confirming the status of goods as EAEU goods and there is no mandatory labeling on the products.
To use the simplified procedure, the importer must comply with a number of rules:
1. To ensure the transportation of cargo and its placement in temporary storage warehouses under the supervision of customs authorities.
2. Apply all necessary signs and codes in accordance with the legislation of the Russian Federation after importation.
3. Timely inform Rospotrebnadzor about the introduction of products into circulation.
The simplified procedure does not apply to all product categories. The list of exceptions has been approved separately. The Federal Customs Service is authorized to provide official explanations on all issues related to the application of the new rules.
