According to Lithuanian Prime Minister Inga Ruginienė, Donald Tusk has agreed to postpone the opening of Poland's border crossings with Belarus, according to the international logistics platform Trans.ru.
"Yesterday, I spoke with the Polish Prime Minister by phone. It was a very detailed, comprehensive conversation, and we decided that the Polish Prime Minister will postpone the opening of the borders. This means that we are coordinating our actions, and as of today, the borders will be closed in both Poland and Lithuania", — the Lithuanian Prime Minister announced at a press conference on Thursday, October 30.
According to Polish Government Spokesperson Adam Szlapka, the delay in opening the borders will be short-lived. He stated: "Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk and Lithuanian Prime Minister Inga Ruginienė have agreed that Poland will open its border crossings with Belarus around mid-November." However, no exact dates have yet been announced.
