The situation at the checkpoints on the border with the EU countries has already been called critical. Queues continue to accumulate there, according to the customs authorities of Belarus. According to their information, the number of cars and trucks at all border crossings exceeded 2 thousand. The Lithuanian direction is the busiest. The waiting time sometimes reaches up to a week, the ministry said in a statement.
- The biggest queue today is in front of the Benyakoni checkpoint. There are more than 750 people willing to leave, and this figure is growing every day. Over the past day, only 140 heavy trucks have crossed the border, while the capacity of the point is an order of magnitude higher. At customs, the situation is called critical, - the Customs of the Republic of Belarus informs.
