Slovak carriers have been resuming the blockade of the checkpoint on the border with Ukraine since December 11.
The continuation of the blockade at the Vyshneye Deutsche — Uzhgorod crossing is reported by the Union of Road Carriers of Slovakia. The purpose of the campaign is to resume the permit system for Ukrainian carriers. The protest is untimely, the Slovak truckers said in a statement.
The Union of Road Carriers emphasizes that they do not intend to block passage for passenger and passenger buses that travel through the Vyshne-Deutsche checkpoint. The protest will affect only freight transport.
Recall that the strikes of Slovak and Polish drivers began in November. Their main requirement is to introduce commercial restrictions for carriers from Ukraine.
