Starting from June 1, seasonal restrictions for trucks may be introduced in Kyrgyzstan, the Ministry of Transport and Communications of the republic warns.
Validity period: from June 1 to September 1 (possible introduction during the summer).
The restrictions apply when the air temperature is above 28°C. Traffic is prohibited on paved roads during daytime hours — from 10:00 to 20:00; traffic is allowed only at night and in the morning — from 20:00 to 10:00. These restrictions apply to trucks with a total maximum weight of over 18 tons. Outside of business hours or under a ban, such vehicles should be waiting in special parking lots.
Exceptions:
• transportation of dangerous and perishable goods;
• Humanitarian aid supplies;
• large-size transportation in the presence of special permits.
Summer restrictions are designed to minimize the risk of deep ruts on paved roads.
