The capacity of the Zabaikalsk freight route will double: operations have been extended until May 2027.
In agreement with the Chinese side, the 24-hour operation of the freight route at the Zabaikalsk automobile checkpoint (ABP) (the adjacent Chinese checkpoint is Manzhouli) has been extended for another year.
The test mode will last until May 16, 2027.
This decision, made by Rosgranstroy, is a logical continuation of successful practices aimed at optimizing and expediting freight transport. As a reminder, the transition of the Zabaikalsk checkpoint to 24-hour operation has already doubled its capacity.
Extending this operation will reduce border waiting times for trucks and increase cross-border trade between Russia and China.
