The Board of the Eurasian Economic Commission has approved unified approaches to issuing special permits for the international transportation of hazardous goods. The new recommendations will apply to routes included in the list of Eurasian transport corridors.
The main goal of the document is to synchronize the work of government agencies of the five countries and implement unified standards.
Specifically, member states are recommended to establish:
➭ Permit issuance period: no more than 6 business days.
➭ Document validity: up to 1 calendar year.
➭ A unified application form and list of required data.
As noted by Arzybek Kozhoshev, Minister of Energy and Infrastructure of the Eurasian Economic Commission, the implementation of these standards will simplify the work of transport companies and reduce their administrative costs when undergoing border control and within the Union.
