This decision sums up the pilot project, which lasted from 2022 to 2025. On May 20, 2026, the Board of the Commission approved the final package of documents, fully forming the regulatory framework for the launch of the system.
• Unified requirements for data entry into national systems and their retention periods have been established.
• The tax authorities of the EAEU countries have received clear regulations for the exchange of information on the movement of goods across the internal borders of the Union.
• The algorithm of actions is prescribed in case of failures in the operation of the Internet or communication, so that the system remains stable in all situations.
• Criteria have been defined under which goods can be moved between countries without entering data into the traceability system.
At the initial stage, the mechanism will affect three categories of household appliances: refrigerators and freezers, washing machines, and televisions. The control will apply to goods that have passed customs in one country of the Union and then been transported to another.
