The development of transport infrastructure and policy coordination within the Eurasian Economic Union were the central topics of a working meeting between Russian Transport Minister Andrey Nikitin and Arzybek Kozhoshev, member of the Board (Minister) for Energy and Infrastructure of the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC), the press center of the Russian Ministry of Transport reported.
The key objective was identified as the development of a roadmap for a coordinated EAEU transport policy for 2027–2029. Priorities include the regulatory framework for digital technologies, the implementation of unmanned systems, and the creation of unified standards for autonomous vehicles. The importance of implementing the "Eurasian Economic Path" Declaration, which defines the Union's economic development through 2030 and 2045, was noted.
The EAEU is actively implementing innovations: pilot projects on navigation seals are being successfully implemented, and the corresponding agreement entered into full force on February 11, 2026.
Work is also underway on projects for electronic international consignment notes (e-CMR).
