The Ministry of Transport of the Republic of Kazakhstan has prepared a draft order that will detail the operation of service waiting areas at the state border.
According to the document, new and modernized areas must meet strict criteria:
• Separation of traffic flows into entry, waiting, and exit zones. The minimum parking capacity is at least 200 trucks.
• The zones will be divided into three sections: parking (with an electronic queue), commercial (service for drivers), and administrative.
• Mandatory presence of license plate recognition systems, automated barriers, high-speed internet, and integration with government information systems.
These innovations are aimed at speeding up transit and creating comfortable conditions for carriers. The draft order is available for discussion on the "Open Regulatory Legal Acts" portal.
