The agreement on the unified customs transit system of the EAEU with third countries is preparing to enter into force. The final stage of the domestic procedures was the ratification of the document by Kazakhstan — the law was signed by President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev. Earlier, the agreement was approved by Armenia, Belarus, Kyrgyzstan and Russia, the press service of the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) reported.
As noted by the Minister for Customs Cooperation of the EEC Sergey Shklyaev, the process has reached the finish line. On the eve of the document's entry into force, the relevant EEC working group discussed the rules for the use of electronic navigation seals in cargo transportation.
The main thing from the meeting results:
• Exceptions to the rules: identified cargoes that can be transported without navigation seals due to minimal risks. These are live animals, international mail and goods for personal use.
• Import substitution: a course has been set for the transition to navigation seals produced directly in the EAEU countries.
