China Customs has issued Regulation No. 2 (2026), introducing new measures to simplify TIR procedures and expand the list of eligible goods, reports BAMAP.
According to the new regulations:
➬ E-commerce goods are now eligible for transport under the TIR system;
➬ Goods stored in customs warehouses can also be transported under the TIR system;
➬ Vehicle conformity certificates are no longer required for containerized and heavy goods (this change primarily affects Chinese operators).
The measures took effect on January 15, 2026.
