More than a thousand pieces of equipment have accumulated from the Russian checkpoint on the border of Russia and Georgia. The reason for the transport collapse was bad weather – due to snowfall and the danger of avalanches on the territory of Georgia, traffic through the Kazbegi automobile checkpoint was temporarily closed.
Recall that the Georgian military road was closed on November 19 due to bad weather. First for trucks, and then for buses and passenger cars.
According to the Federal State Budgetary Institution Rosgranstroy, there are no problems in the operation of the Russian checkpoint "Upper Lars".
The Upper Lars - Kazbegi checkpoint is the only land crossing on the border of Russia and Georgia.
