Kazakhstan has launched the QazETA (Electronic Travel Authorization) service for preliminary electronic approval of entry for foreign citizens from visa-free countries, reports BAMAP.
According to paragraph 19 of the official QazETA exemption list, truck drivers are exempt from the requirement for electronic entry authorization for international transportation and transit through the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
Truck vehicle criteria:
• Gross weight (with trailer) of over 6 tons, or
• Load capacity of over 3.5 tons.
The exemption from QazETA is aimed at preventing cargo delays at the border. However, all standard documents (passport, driver's license, CMR, international permit/ECMT, insurance policy) remain mandatory.
