On May 17, 2026, the EAEU Agreement entered into force, establishing uniform requirements for the masses, dimensions and axial loads of freight transport, the press service of the EEC informs. The new regulations apply to Eurasian transport corridors with a total length of more than 14 thousand km.
This solution removes an important logistical barrier: now carriers do not need to split up shipments or issue additional permits, even if one of the transit countries of the Union has stricter national standards.
Uniform rules along the route will significantly speed up the delivery of heavy and bulky goods, as well as reduce the time and financial costs of business.
The unification of parameters makes Eurasian routes more predictable and efficient, simplifying the work of transport companies throughout the EAEU.
