The Georgian Military Road is closed to all types of transport due to the deterioration of weather conditions in Georgia. This is reported by the North Caucasian branch of FGKU Rosgranstroy.
The report notes that due to the inability to ensure safe passage of vehicles, traffic is closed for all types of transport along the section km 00 -26 of the A-161 Vladikavkaz - Nizhny Lars – border with Georgia (Republic of North Ossetia – Alania, checkpoint through the Upper Lars state border).
Due to the ban, the queue of cars continues to grow. There are now more than 2 thousand trucks in the electronic queue alone.
The Agency asks participants in foreign economic activity to take this information into account when planning the crossing of the Russian-Georgian state border.
The Georgian Military Road is the only land route connecting the Russian Federation with Georgia and Armenia.
