Denis Alipov, the Russian Ambassador to New Delhi, spoke about the increase in trade turnover between Russia and India, TASS reports.
As Alipov stated at the plenary session of the XIV Indian-Russian business dialogue, the trade turnover between the two countries reached almost $55 billion in 10 months of 2023.
The Ambassador stressed that Russia has become one of India's main trading partners. "We maintain a leading position in the supply of hydrocarbon raw materials, providing more than a third of Indian imports of mineral fertilizers, agro-industrial products and diamond and diamond complex," Alipov added.
Earlier, Alipov said that the trade turnover between Russia and India from January to September 2023 reached a record $48.8 billion.
