The European Union has been increasing purchases of fertilizers from Russia for the third month in a row: in March they reached 174 million euros and updated the maximum since December 2022, RIA Novosti reports, citing European statistics.
So, in March, the EU purchased fertilizers for 174 million euros, which is 4% more than a month earlier and 1.5 times more than a year earlier. This was the highest since December 2022.
At the same time, the association has been increasing purchases of Russian fertilizers for the third month in a row: if in December they amounted to only 125 million euros, then in January - 137 million, and in February - 167 million.
Purchases in March increased the most from Croatia - 4.8 times, to 1.2 million euros, Greece - 4.7 times, to 4 million euros, and Romania - 2.5 times, to 26.1 million euros.
Poland remains the largest buyer for the third month in a row (36 million euros), followed by Romania and France (22.5 million euros).
