The Council of Ministers of Belarus has expanded the list of goods that are prohibited for import from Lithuania, Poland, Latvia, the Czech Republic, and Estonia, the press service of the Belarusian government reports.
The specified list includes individual products originating from Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, the Czech Republic and Estonia: beer, fermented beverages, skin care products, hair products, shaving products, oral and dental hygiene products, deodorants, bath formulations, soap, cleaning products, floor carpets, men's textile clothing, shoes with genuine leather uppers, hats, bedding, dining room utensils, kitchen utensils made of porcelain and glass, mattress bases, varnishes, paints, plates, sheets, plastic films, labels and labels made of paper, cardboard
The decree also prohibits the import and sale of water, including mineral and carbonated water, from unfriendly countries.
It is noted that the resolution was developed as a response to the decisions taken by Latvia to ban the import of food products from Belarus in certain positions, Lithuania to ban the import of agricultural products and feed from Belarus for one year, as well as to the prepared Regulation of the EU Council, the main initiators of which were five countries (Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Czech Republic and Estonia), which imposes increased duties on imports of Belarusian agricultural products.
