According to Belta, legal entities and sole proprietors engaged in international cargo transportation and residents of Belarus, until December 31, 2023, have the right to withdraw from their accounts opened in Belarusian banks and use foreign currency in cash (US dollars, euros) on the territory of the country for settlements with non-residents under foreign currency contracts for the import of services for international cargo transportation.
This is provided for by the resolution of the Council of Ministers and the National Bank of November 1, 2023 No. 746/21, which is published on the National Legal Internet Portal.
What does it say?
The permit is valid only until December 31, 2023. Carriers can withdraw cash currency from their accounts in Belarusian banks and pay non-residents on the territory of Belarus.
It is possible to pay only under foreign currency contracts for the import of services for the international carriage of goods by road.
You can withdraw an amount not exceeding 1000 base units under one currency agreement (37 thousand Belarusian rubles in equivalent). If the withdrawn money has not been used within five working days, then during this time they must be put back into the account.
The Resolution comes into force after its official publication.
