Another checkpoint has opened between Russia and China, the press service of Rosgranstroy announced on October 10, 2025. This is the Lesozavodsk mixed checkpoint, located in Primorsky Krai on the Russian side.
By order of the Russian Ministry of Transport, a temporary mixed two-way cargo and passenger checkpoint has been opened between Lesozavodsk and the Chinese border. The decision, based on the work of the Interdepartmental Commission, approved the checkpoint's design documentation. The commission includes representatives of the Russian Ministry of Transport, the Vladivostok branch of Rosgranstroy, and government agencies.
The opening of the temporary checkpoint is necessary for construction and the commissioning of the underwater crossing of the cross-border section of the gas pipeline across the Ussuri River, as part of an intergovernmental agreement between Russia and China.
It should be noted that the implementation of this project and the development of associated transport employment are among the priority tasks aimed at ensuring cooperation between the two options, as well as the development of the Far East.
