Belarus is interested in developing the supply of export goods along the Northern Sea Route, deliveries through the route have already begun, Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko said at a meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin in Moscow on Thursday, Interfax reports.
"The prospect of work on the Northern Sea Route is good. We have already supplied goods along the Northern Sea Route. Several thousand tons have already been delivered. It is very convenient for our manufacturers. Therefore, your support here was very important and relevant for us," Lukashenko said.
"Thank you for your support on the port economy. We are working. We are looking at other ports. Russians - port workers - help us to ship products. In short, there is nothing that the goods are lying on the ocean or sea shore and we cannot take them out. We are working in St. Petersburg, Murmansk, and the Far East," the Belarusian president noted.
