Belarus has almost doubled its exports to Russia in recent years - by the end of 2023, it will reach the milestone of $25 billion. This was stated by Deputy Prime Minister of Belarus Pyotr Parkhomchik, Interfax reports.
"We have traditionally sold our products in the Russian Federation in the range of $13 billion. In 2022, they reached the milestone of $ 22 billion, and in 11 months of 2023 - already $ 23 billion. It is safe to say that by the end of 2023, we will have crossed the $25 billion mark. Thus, we have almost doubled the sales of our products in the Russian market," he said.
"Our ministries and concerns are working out new ways to promote products first on the domestic market," the Deputy Prime Minister said, adding that there are plans to open new outlets in Russian cities with millions of people, "in order to bring our light industry products closer to consumers."
"We also revised our views on complex technical and innovative products. We are looking for new methods of promotion and understand that today it is wrong to just sell a tractor - you need to sell services and technologies along with it. There was a BELAZ center in the Kemerovo region, and today it sells everything that is produced by organizations of the Ministry of Industry of Belarus. These are tractors and passenger transport," added Parkhomchik.
