Belarus has expanded the list of goods prohibited for import from unfriendly countries and sale on the territory of the republic, the press service of the Belarusian government reports.
The ministry's message says that "according to the decree, the list of goods prohibited for import and sale in the territory of the Republic of Belarus originating from unfriendly countries is supplemented with the following items: margarine, pasta, cement and products made from it, nitrogen fertilizers, plastic tableware, chipboard, MDF, boxes, boxes, bags, bags and other packaging containers made of paper and cardboard, building bricks."
- The resolution was developed as a response to the decisions taken by Latvia to ban the import of food products from Belarus in certain positions, Lithuania to ban the import of agricultural products and feed from Belarus for one year, as well as to the prepared Regulation of the EU Council, the main initiators of which were five countries (Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Czech Republic and Estonia), which sets increased duties on imports of Belarusian agricultural products, the message says.
The new restrictive measures will come into force on August 31.
