Rosgranstroy reports that the completion of the reconstruction, implemented within the framework of the national project "Efficient Transport System", is planned for 2026.
Currently, the construction readiness of the facility is about 60%, and the following works are being carried out there: installation of facade elements, finishing works, installation of low-current systems of the customs clearance building, installation of roofing and inspection pits of canopies of customs and border control, preparation of sites for the installation of weighing and oversized complexes with a canopy, installation of low-current fencing systems and landscaping of the territory.
It is worth noting that as part of non-capital measures in 2024, work was carried out there to equip the checkpoint with batteries for uninterruptible power supplies, components for the weighing and oversized complex, means of forced stopping of vehicles, plastic containers.
"Today, the construction readiness of the facility is about 60%. After completion of all activities, its capacity will be 2,400 vehicles per day, and the number of traffic lanes will increase from 19 to 26,” emphasized Gennady Bezlobenko. Thus, by the end of 2026, the border crossing will be equipped with two portal inspection and screening complexes for entry and exit from Russia, designed to scan freight vehicles to detect prohibited substances.
