Customs seals are being actively introduced in the territory of the Eurasian Economic Union, they are used to track the transit of goods. The introduction of unified navigation seals for the transit of goods through the territory of all EAEU countries is expected in 2025. Sputnik writes about this, referring to the statement of the Minister for Customs Cooperation of the EEC Ruslan Davydov.
According to him, Russia and Belarus have already declared their readiness to use seals within the framework of the EAEU, which are placed by customs officers on trucks to track transit traffic. Now we need to work more actively with those countries that have not yet declared such readiness, such as Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Armenia.
The Minister explained that the launch of the agreement on the use of navigation seals will be the first step towards the creation of a unified customs transit system.
"We will start using navigation seals within the EAEU when all five countries declare their readiness. Therefore, probably the main thesis here is that we need to work with those countries that have not yet declared such readiness," Davydov said.
Navigation seals help you quickly track the routes of heavy trucks. The devices are installed at the entrance of trucks carrying out transit transportation to the territory of Belarus from Europe at customs clearance points.
