From July 1, 2024, Germany will introduce a requirement to charge tolls for vehicles with a technically permissible maximum gross weight (TPMLM) of more than 3.5 tons, according to the Association of International Road Carriers.
The toll collection requirement applies only to vehicles that are intended or used for road transport. Road trains are charged only if the technically permissible maximum gross weight of the tractor exceeds 3.5 tons.
Currently, only vehicles with a technically permissible maximum gross weight of more than 7.5 tons are subject to the toll requirement.
More detailed information is available on the Toll Collect page, including in Russian.
