In the near future, Lithuania intends to further tighten control over the supply of agricultural products, writes PortNews.
In Lithuania, amendments introduced by the Ministry of Agriculture of the country to certain legislative acts have come into force, according to which, since March 18, increased control over grain imported from Russia has begun. Starting today, absolutely all imported feed grains and processed products "from high-risk countries" will be stopped for inspection, samples will be taken from each imported production wagon or vehicle, the press service of the Lithuanian Ministry of Agriculture reports.
In the near future, after agreeing on the methodological requirements, measures are planned to be further tightened by checking the origin of grain transported through Lithuania.
Lithuania has included Russia, Belarus, Transnistria, which is not under the control of the Moldovan government, and others in the list of high-risk countries and regions.
