At the largest Russian-Chinese border crossing "Zabaikalsk" - "Manchuria", round-the-clock work was extended until May 16, 2024.
Recall that such an innovation in the work of the MAPP was introduced on May 15 this year. The decision on the 24-hour regime was made at the coordination council of the checkpoint and was aimed at reducing the multi-kilometer queue of heavy trucks. The Chinese side has agreed to the proposal of the Russian authorities. Initially, these changes were a test mode and were designed for six months.
After the introduction, almost twice as many trucks began to be issued here, and cargo turnover increased 1.3 times and amounted to almost 840 thousand tons, the department notes. In this regard, the round-the-clock work was extended for another six months.
Through "Zabaikalsk" - "Manchuria" passes the main flow of Chinese citizens traveling to the Trans-Baikal Territory and further into Russia, as well as the flow of foreign trade goods for the regions of Siberia.
