Lithuanian Customs reminded that empty (unloaded) trucks registered in the European Union, including Lithuania, are not allowed to cross the state border with Russia or Belarus.
However, there are exceptions to this provision. The regulations allow trucks transporting goods from or through the EU customs territory to travel to Russia and Belarus.
This measure is applied by the Lithuanian Customs in accordance with the provisions of the Regulations of the European Union, the Lithuanian office emphasizes.
It should be recalled that on the eve of the Lithuanian customs service announced stricter rules for the export and transit of promotional goods through Russia and Belarus. Now manufacturers are required to provide a special declaration for substation goods. Otherwise, travel outside the EU with such cargo will be prohibited.
