The Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation proposed to include laptops, smartphones, telephones and boards in the experiment on labeling radio-electronic products, Interfax writes.
The relevant draft resolution was published by the Ministry on regulation.gov.ru .
The experiment on labeling these types of goods is proposed to begin on February 29, 2024 and end on April 30, 2025.
At the same time, the Ministry of Industry and Trade wants to extend the deadline for the experiment on labeling lighting products, already launched on December 1, 2023, until November 30, 2024.
As reported, the experiment on labeling electronic products, which started in December, included sockets, photosensitive conductors, lamps and lighting equipment - a total of 15 types of products in accordance with the Customs Code of the EAEU.
"The expansion of the radio electronics labeling experiment is a logical step. We said that after the start of the experiment in lighting technology, we will systematically develop the labeling of other electronic products. Labeling of consumer electronics is designed to protect Russian citizens from buying counterfeit goods, as well as to cut off manufacturers from public procurement who only pretend to produce goods in Russia. This will provide a serious incentive for the development of domestic production of machinery," commented Vasily Shpak, Deputy Head of the Ministry of Industry and Trade, whose words are quoted in the ministry's message.
