Lithuania has demanded that trailers and semi-trailers registered in Belarus be removed from the country no later than the 10th, according to information published on the website of the Lithuanian customs, Sputnik Belarus writes.
"We inform you that Council Regulation 2024/1865 of June 29, 2024, amending EU Regulation N765/2006 on restrictive measures... After amendments to article 1zc, a ban has been imposed on the activities of trucking companies transporting goods across the territory of the European Union with trailers registered in Belarus or semi-trailers, including if these trailers or semi-trailers are towed by tractors registered in other countries," the message says.
It is also noted that since the regulation was published in the Official Journal of the EU at the end of June, and entered into force on July 1, business did not have time to adapt to the requirements that were introduced.
The ministry explained that in this regard, all trailers and semi-trailers that were registered in Belarus and are used by tractors registered in other countries to transport goods must leave the EU territory by July 10.
