According to the BNS agency, the Lithuanian government has updated the list of dual-use goods that are prohibited from being transported through the country by land transport. We are talking about machining centers, lathes, drilling, boring, milling, threading machines, optical and semiconductor data carriers, lithium dioxide, manganese galvanic cells and batteries, cargo transportation vehicles and barometers.
Lithuania believes that these goods can be used in military production. In this regard, the Government has decided to introduce additional restrictions.
Recall that this summer, the Lithuanian government banned the overland transportation of 57 dual-use goods through the country, mainly products with microelectronics and semiconductors.
Lithuania explains such a ban by the need to prevent circumvention of international sanctions restrictions, as well as to strengthen security and protect national interests.
