The customs authorities of Belarus report a critical accumulation of trucks at the Belarusian-Polish checkpoint "Kozlovichi" ("Kukuryki"). 1000 cars are waiting to leave for Poland.
The department cites several reasons for the huge queue. Many businesses are trying to close supply contracts at the end of the year. In addition, the neighboring side is not working due to the available capabilities, the official message says. So, the Polish side has accepted 700 cars out of a possible 1,200 over the past day.
Recall that Kozlovichi is the only cargo checkpoint that the Polish side has left open for traffic.
According to the customs authorities of the Republic of Belarus, the situation is even worse in the Lithuanian direction with the reception of cars by the neighboring side. Over the past day, Lithuanians at the checkpoint "Shalchininkai" (from the Belarusian side – "Benyakoni") accepted only 35% of the transport arriving from Belarus, and in "Myadininkai" (from the Belarusian side - "Kamenny Log") – even 15%. Currently, 1,850 cars are waiting at 4 checkpoints to enter Lithuania, the agency reports.
