More than 200 trucks are waiting in line to pass through the border of the Kaliningrad region and Lithuania. This was reported to RIA Novosti by the customs of the Russian region.
According to the source, Lithuania accepts two times fewer cars than the checkpoint's capacity allows, so a queue has formed at the border. In addition, on the eve of the day, the European side did not allow heavy trucks to pass for two hours without explanation.
"180 cargo vehicles are waiting to leave for the Republic of Lithuania in front of the checkpoint, another 25 are on the filled neutral zone after registration by Kaliningrad customs officers," the press service said.
Recall that on March 21, Lithuania already closed the border for trucks. Then the delay was explained by a malfunction of the customs information systems.
