When leaving Belarus for EU countries, the Lithuanian route remains the busiest, the State Customs Committee of Belarus reports. The preservation of permanent collapse at the border is the result of targeted actions by the neighboring side, the department believes.
As of 12:00 on Monday, December 18, more than 1,790 trucks are expected to enter the EU through Lithuania. The control services of this country, on average, allowed 27% of the normal transport to enter their territory over the weekend. It is noted that during the specified period, only 9% of the norm passed through Myadininkai (Stone Log) — 144 trucks out of 1,500 possible.
43% of trucks entered the EU over the weekend through the only functioning Latvian Paternieki checkpoint (Grigorovshchina). The Polish side missed 67%.
Currently, a small number of passenger vehicles are awaiting clearance in front of the Lavorishkes (Kotlovka), Myadininkai (Kamenny Log) and Terespol (Brest) checkpoints.
