Over 3,000 heavy trucks have accumulated on the border of Belarus and the EU. Queues have been maintained for more than a week.
The State Border Committee of Belarus informs that the Lithuanian route remains the busiest on the way to the EU. According to the department, 1,855 heavy trucks are waiting for registration here.
During the day, the least amount of transport went to Lithuania through the Myadininkai checkpoint (Kamenny Log). Its control services accepted only 49 trucks out of 500 possible, which is only 10% of the norm, the CPC of Belarus emphasizes. Employees of other Lithuanian border crossings allowed only 31% of trucks to enter their territory.
A significant queue in front of the Polish checkpoint Kukuryki (Kozlovichi) remains — 800 trucks. The neighboring side issued about 80% of the norm for heavy trucks per day.
Employees of the Latvian Paternieki checkpoint (Grigorovshchina) allowed 45% of trucks to enter their territory. 460 trucks are waiting to enter Latvia.
As of 10:00 a.m., queues of passenger vehicles are fixed in front of all Lithuanian checkpoints and Polish Terespol (Brest). Their control services issued an average of 50% of the cars.
