The State Border Committee of the Republic of Belarus reports on the congestion of checkpoints on the border of Belarus and European countries.
The Lithuanian Shalchininkai (Benyakoni) is still the busiest border crossing on the way to the EU countries - there are 860 trucks in the queue.
More than 1,800 trucks are waiting to enter Lithuania in front of four European checkpoints. The average clearance rate over the past day was only 28% of the norm.
In front of the Polish checkpoint Kukuryki (Kozlovichi), the number of trucks per day has practically not changed — 450 units. The Polish side has accepted 58% of the cars on its territory.
At the Latvian Paternieki checkpoint (Grigorovshchina), the pass rate was fulfilled by 46% — about 145 trucks are waiting to enter the adjacent territory.
The queue of passenger transport is fixed only at the entrance to Poland in front of the checkpoint Terespol (Brest) — 80 cars. Its control services allowed only 32% of vehicles to enter the EU from the norm, according to the department.
