In April, the movement of heavy-duty vehicles on the highways of the Vladimir region will be limited. The corresponding order on the introduction of a temporary restriction was published by GBU Vladuprador, the Association of International Automobile Carriers reports.
According to the document, spring restrictions for heavy trucks on regional or intermunicipal roads in the Vladimir region in 2024 will be introduced from April 1 for 30 calendar days.
The permissible axial load for travel during the "drying" period is 8, 6 or 4 tons, depending on the section of the highway.
The ministry emphasizes that temporary restrictions do not apply to transportation of social significance, buses, transportation of food, animals, medicines, fuel, fertilizers, mail, vehicles of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, transportation of goods in case of emergency, as well as transportation of road construction and road maintenance equipment and materials used in repair and emergency recovery work.
The report says that spring restrictions for trucks are introduced every year for the period of high water in the regions of Russia to ensure the safety of the road network. Such measures have not been taken on federal highways since 2018. The duration of the "drying" in the subjects of the country varies depending on the climate, topography and other features of the area.
