The Finnish government has decided to suspend indefinitely the operation of sea checkpoints on the border with Russia from April 15, 2024, the press service of the Federal Customs Service of Russia reports.
The Agency informs that traffic on the Saimaa Canal through Nuiyamaa will be suspended for pleasure craft. The Haapasaari and Santio sea checkpoints are also being closed indefinitely.
In addition, earlier the Finnish side decided to extend the complete closure of all land checkpoints on the Russian-Finnish border (Imatra, Kuusamo, Niirala, Nuiyamaa, Raya-Yosepi, Salla, Vaalimaa and Vartius) until further notice.
The Federal Customs Service of Russia recommends taking this information into account.
