"Ferry and railway connections between Bulgaria and Georgia play an important role in the logistics of goods transported across the Black Sea. The restoration of communication, on the one hand, will ensure the flow of additional cargo, and on the other, is vital from the point of view of improving the efficiency of the Trans–Caspian International Transport Corridor ("Middle Corridor"), the press service of the Georgian Railway said in a statement. It is noted that the ferry service between Bulgaria and Georgia is of strategic importance for the two countries. And its restoration will greatly simplify and accelerate the transportation of goods, contributing to the development of trade relations between Georgia and Bulgaria.
In addition, this type of transport also provides an alternative delivery route, which may become more profitable and efficient for some types of goods. In addition, the ferry service contributes to the development of tourism and cultural exchange between the two countries, which is important for strengthening friendly relations.
